Talking to Phil Reid really gives you a full insight to the beginnings of Stand Up Comedy, He has the perfect influences he grafted the right way in Bingo Halls and Holiday Parks hosting shows and he just went for it any given opportunity to use those adlib skills and turn them into punchlines and get those first laughs. He credits Miles Crawford & Keith Harris as being important role models in giving their time and kindness as they saw in Phil the talent he has and I have seen it, he is a brilliant MC, compere, and Stand Up Comic in his own right and he has also found the World of Pantomime and Variety. He has the mutual respect of those before us as I do and he is clearly a genuine being with a love for what he does.
